About Us

Norway Labs specializes in repairing test and measurement equipment, reworking damaged or shorted PCB and parts, and reverse engineering legacy PCB.

TEST & MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT REPAIR

WHAT WE DO

We are a cost-effective solution to repair test and measurement equipment that is no longer under warranty or no longer supported by the original manufacturer (OEM). We provide a repair model that meets both private and public sector customer budgetary guidelines. We offer flat rate repair pricing on many units and, on the units without a flat rate, we will evaluate the cost to repair your unit for free.

We have a targeted 14-day turnaround policy for repairs. It is typical for repairs to be completed within this timeframe.

hOW WE DO IT

Our electrical engineers and technicians have developed diagnostic tools that isolate failures in Agilent (Keysight) and Tektronix equipment down to the component level. We have invested in state-of-the-art diagnostic and repair equipment that allows us to quickly and cost-effectively repair your units. Please reference our Repair page for more information.

TECHnical staff – our primary asset

Norway Labs’ engineering staff includes patent-holding electrical engineers and technicians averaging 25+ years of experience designing and servicing test and measurement equipment for companies including Intel, General Dynamics, and Tektronix. The end result of this extensive experience is the ability to provide cost-effective component and board-level repair or otherwise difficult and/or cost-prohibitive OEM-dependent repairs.

PCB REWORK

WHAT WE DO

We have personnel with advanced hand soldering skills that can remove and replace components precisely. Companies have used us to retrofit boards for new versions of IC’s, correct manufacturing errors, and more. Our processes can be repeatable and automated with the use of BGA machines, like our ONYX 29.

HOW WE DO IT

We utilize our state-of-the-art Nordson DAGE Jade FP to x-ray boards and parts. This allows us to find shorts or see where parts might not be connected to pads. We are also able to use our skilled technicians or ONYX29 to remove and replace parts. Please reference our Rework page for more information.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

wHAT WE DO

Norway Labs offers reverse engineering services for both populated and depopulated printed circuit boards (PCBs). This can include BOM generation, Gerber generation, board redesign, and part inspection.

HOW WE DO IT

The process starts with one of our technicians carefully documenting the board, including taking detailed pictures of the board and its components. Once the board is documented, our technicians carefully remove the components and measure them, noting the reference designator for each component. After the board has been depopulated, it is scanned into our Gerber generation system. Each layer is then sanded, cleaned, and scanned. These files are then compiled into the final Gerber for the board, which can be sent to a manufacturer to be printed. Please reference our Reverse Engineering page for more information.
